Welcome to Cozina. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

1. Description of Service

Cozina is a cooking assistance application that helps you:

  • Import and organize recipes from photos, URLs, and manual entry
  • Get AI-powered cooking guidance and voice-controlled assistance
  • Manage cooking timers and step-by-step instructions
  • Generate shopping lists from your recipes
  • Organize recipes into collections and cookbooks

2. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Cozina only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service to distribute malware or harmful content
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the service

4. User-Generated Content

Recipes and other content you create remain your intellectual property. By using Cozina, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide our services.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and share any recipes or content you upload.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy

6. AI Features Disclaimer

Cozina uses artificial intelligence to assist with recipe processing and cooking guidance. Please note:

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and may contain errors
  • Always verify cooking times, temperatures, and food safety guidelines independently
  • AI suggestions should not replace professional culinary or nutritional advice

7. Food Safety

Cozina provides cooking guidance for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for:

  • Allergic reactions or adverse health effects
  • Food safety issues arising from recipe preparation
  • Accuracy of nutritional information

Always use proper food handling techniques and consult with healthcare professionals regarding dietary restrictions or allergies.

8. Intellectual Property

The Cozina application, including its design, features, code, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the application.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cozina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or content
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Results from following recipe instructions
  • Third-party actions or content

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Privacy → Delete Account.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Cozina after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes through the app or email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
