When you use Cozina, we collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Email address and name provided during sign-in (via Apple, Google, or email authentication)
  • User ID: A unique identifier for your account
  • User Content: Recipes you create, import, and save, including ingredients, instructions, and images
  • Purchase History: Transaction identifiers to verify your subscription status (we do not store payment card information)

Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

  • No Analytics or Tracking: We do not collect usage analytics or track your behavior within the app
  • No Crash Reports: Diagnostic data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers
  • No Location Data: We do not access or store your location
  • No Advertising Identifiers: We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide core app functionality (storing and syncing your recipes)
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • Sync your recipes and preferences across your devices
  • Verify your subscription status
  • Respond to support requests

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud platform with servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Encryption at rest
  • Row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data
  • Secure authentication via Apple, Google, or email

Third-Party Services

Cozina integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication
  • Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In: Authentication providers
  • Apple App Store: Subscription and payment processing
  • AI Services (optional): If you provide your own API key in settings, your queries may be processed by OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI. These are opt-in and require your explicit configuration.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: Export your recipes at any time
  • Delete your account: Use Settings → Privacy → Delete Account to permanently remove all your data
  • Data portability: Your recipes can be exported from the app

Children's Privacy

Cozina is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
